- CHUDDERSShawls varying in size, quality and style, according to the market for which intended, with borders, fringe and headings. Constructed of cotton in many widths up to 48-in. X 48-in. Used as a covering by Mohammedan women. The term is also applied to the plain weave dyed woollen shawls made at Rampore and Amritsar, India. Also termed Choddur and at times Chadur.
